Who Carried You?

Can I say "best thing I've ever posted here?" It's fitting, given that I turned 14 on Monday . . . maybe this is the start of a new era in Caitlin artwork. ^^ A huge thanks goes to my big brother and his birthday gift for me - an art book! It was a huge help!

They reached the bank with a little bump and Harry leapt out, then turned quickly to help Dumbledore. [ . . . ] Dumbledore gave a great sigh and leaned against the cavern wall.
"I am weak. . . ." he said.
"Don't worry, sir," said Harry at once, anxious about Dumbledore's extreme pallor and by his air of exhaustion. "Don't worry, I'll get us back. . . . Lean on me, sir. . . ."
And pulling Dumbledore's uninjured arm around his shoulders, Harry guided his headmaster back around the lake, bearing most of his weight. [ . . . ] They crossed the outer cave, and Harry helped Dumbledore back into the icy seawater that filled the crevice in the cliff.
"It's going to be all right, sir," Harry said over and over again, more worried by Dumbledore's silence than he had been by his weakened voice. "We're nearly there. . . . I can Apparate us both back. . . . Don't worry. . . ."
"I am not worried, Harry," said Dumbledore, his voice a little stronger despite the freezing water. "I am with you."

It's . . . the Avatar . . .

. . . and he's SHAVING!

Probably my favorite moment from Day of Black Sun, just because it wouldn't have worked ANYWHERE else to make shaving so darn DRAMATIC. I started it with this jolly old screenshot:

. . . . traced it, and filled in the rest. I think it turned out well don't you?

Katara

Because Katara is just THAT awesome, so she got a REALISTIC portrait. And Caitlin hardly EVER does realism. Take that, Aang!

Snuggle

Continuing my little pet portrait series on couples, here's Katara and Aang. *love* Just a few things . . . Katara's nose used to be even worse than it is now. *shudder* It looks like a blob. Of jelly. Or a sasuage. And I JUST. COULDN'T. GET. HER. EYES. RIGHT.

Thanks to my awesome art teacher, I can now draw fabric folds. See them? GO FABRIC FOLDS. And they're really fun to draw, too.

DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN

I'M BAAAAAAAACK! And my drawing skills are too, finally. This is Paddlefish and Airi being cute. They're two wolf people, in case you don't know. :D
I just realized I forgot to give Airi her werewolf markings, like Paddle does on his neck and cheek. Oh well. And I really, really like Airi's eyes. She looks a lot saner than she does than in most of my pictures of her. And thanks to our new scanner, the shading actually looks pretty good!

Another . . . review thingy

Yeahhhh, since some people I know are so EAGER for new pictures, I thought I would at least do another review-thingy. (Honestly though, I really like how people are eager. It makes me feel appreciated.)

I am pretty sure I will have new pictures soon. Turns out we actually bought a whole new printer/scanner, and a new desk and chair too. The printer/scanner is wireless. How cool is that? Pretty cool if you ask me.

Here you go. (Zoom in to reduce distortion.) I really like how BLUE the whole thing is. Aang looks really mysterious, you can tell just by looking at him that he's very, very special. Katara is pretty and Sokka is pretty darn cute. Oh, here are some Olde Fashioned Spirituale Captiones for ye.

Katara: AAAAAA IT IS THE WORK OF DESTINY *GASP*
Sokka: Hmmmmm . . . he's bald . . . he has weird tattoos. AAA HE MUST BE DANGEROUS
Aang: ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz *snore*

I know, I know, I'm weird. And I have this problem, whenever I find a cool picture like this, I get this urge to tack it up on my wall. I guess that's not a problem really though. DOO DOO DOOPITY DOOP.
